The FAS Final Examinations Office schedules and coordinates placement examinations, midyear examinations, and final examinations. Please note that hourly and midterm examinations are the responsibility of the course head; the FAS Final Examinations Office is not involved in their scheduling or administration. Information about the administration of final and midyear examinations is outlined in the "Final and Midyear Examinations" chapter of Information for Faculty Offering Instruction in Arts and Sciences.

Placement Examinations

The schedule for placement examinations is posted to the website approximately two weeks prior to their administration--the last week of August for fall term placement exams, and the third week in January for spring term placement exams.

Midyear and Final Examinations

The final schedule for midyear and final examinations will be posted to the website during the first week of November for fall final/midyear examinations and during the first last week of March for spring final examinations. Faculty are advised not to make any travel plans until the official final examination schedule is published and are expected to be available for the duration of the Final Examination Period.
