Plan of Study

Students declaring a concentration, changing a concentration or indicating their intention to complete the Core or General Education requirements will use the Plan of Study Portal. Students should use the tool to select the courses that they plan to take to meet their concentration and Core or General Education requirements. Student should also meet with their concentration adviser, sophomore adviser or resident dean to discuss their plan of study.

Important Deadlines

Declaring a Concentration

November 18, 2009 - Plans of Study due for class of 2012

Changing a Concentration

November 23, 2009 - Last day to change concentration for March 2010 degree candidates

April 2, 2010 - Last day to change concentration without Administrative Board approval for May 2010 and November 2010 degree candidates.

Switching between Core and Gen Ed

February 22, 2010 - Last day to switch between completing the Core and General Education requirements for May 2010 and November 2010 degree candidates.

Secondary Field

Students who are already in the process of completing a secondary field and want to switch to Gen Ed should consult the General Education office before using this tool. The courses you have chosen to double-count while under the Core Curriculum are likely to change, and may require that you make some adjustments to your secondary field program. Please contact the General Education office at gened@fas.harvard.edu to discuss your options.
